FIRST ANNUAL RAINBIRD HARVEST FESTIVAL

This is going to be fun...

The FIRST ANNUAL RAINBIRD HARVEST FESTIVAL. Goes from 6:00pm to 9:30pm.

The date was yesterday, October 16, 2026.....

4:30pm the lights went out. That's right, no electricity. But, there's still a couple of hours of sunlight.

Called the electric company... Outage has been reported, don't know the cause.

Neighbor suggests that we cancel the party.

Not on your life.

Fire up the Hibachi. We'll cook outside. The cold food is ready. Candles are lit and 'batteried.' Welcome-pumpkins placed. We're doing this.....

6:00pm The party starts. Mostly Young Rainbird Enthusiasts, joining the movement with all kinds of skills, interests and motivations.

Talking and more talking... The getting-to-know-you part is a great success. The dinner is consumed by candle-light.

7:20pm the lights come on. "Turn them off," says everyone. RAINBIRD IS ABOUT RESILIENCE AND REGENERATION. "We know how to make the best of times."
